Prayer for Healing
Lord, look upon us with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon us, may your life giving powers flow into every cell of our bodies and into the depths of our souls, cleansing, purifying, restoring us to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Amen.

MORNING OFFERING

Father, Son and Holy Spirit, through
the hands of Mary Immaculate Queen, bless
me and give me the grace to spend this day
in a manner pleasing to you.

Close to you, Mary Immaculate Queen,
I want to live.  With you I desire to offer myself
to Jesus.  Through you I wish to receive
His blessing in order that my whole day,
from morning to night, may be occupied
solely in the carrying out
of His Most Holy Will.

Mary Immaculate Queen, take my hand
in yours so that I may keep in step with you as
we walk along the pathway of the Will of God.
Amen.

50th Eucharistic Congress Prayer
Lord Jesus, You were sent by the Father to gather those who scattered.
You came among us, doing good and bringing healing, announcing the Word of Salvation and giving the Bread which lasts forever.
Be our companion on life’s pilgrim way.
May your Holy Spirit inflame our hearts, enliven our hope & open our minds,
So that with our sisters and brothers in faith
We may recognise you in the Scriptures
And in the breaking of  bread.
May your Holy Spirit transform us into one body and lead us to walk humbly on the earth,
in justice and love,
as witnesses of your resurrection.
In communion with Mary,
Whom you gave to us as our Mother
At the foot of the cross, through you
May all praise, honour and blessing be to the father in the Holy Spirit and in the Church,
Now and forever.  Amen.

50th Eucharistic Congress Hymn
Though We Are Many - (Bernard Sexton)
Though we are many, we are one body,
we who come to share this living bread;
Cup of salvation, shared among all nations,
nourishing us now and evermore.
1. We gather in this place
round the table of the Lord.
Christ's presence is revealed
in our communion and his Living Word.
2. Now our communion recalls
Christ's death and resurrection.
This living sacrifice
is our salvation now and evermore.
3. And through this shared Eucharist
we are the living Church.
We witness to Christ's love
His living body active in our world.

The Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth:
He will teach us everything

Prayer for Job Seekers
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, show me the course I should take.  So many choices lie before me; things I’d like to do and the ways I’d like to go.  Give me the courage to follow my dreams, and the wisdom to be realistic.
I look to you to guide my searching.  Enrich me with the gift of discernment so that I can always see the right direction in which I should go.  Give me the strength and the courage to choose the right course.
Bless and make me holy in your sight.  May the richness of your glory abound in me.  May you fill me with the word of truth, inform me with the good news of the Gospel and enrich me with your love.
Our blessed Lady ask the Sacred Heart, to make my way safe and sure as I place my trust in you.

Prayer to St. Macartan
Macartan, at the dawn of Christianity in Ireland your faithfulness in supporting St. Patrick enabled the good news of the Gospel to be told in our land.
May the Word of God be reborn in us,
May we in our time promote collaboration among the people of God, and lend a supportive hand to those in our families, and parish communities that may be in need.
May the Spirit of God sustain and strengthen us in our friendships with one another on our journey towards the light, Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
Anniversary Masses

There were no prayers said, but stillness of the hearts passions – that was praise enough; and the mind’s cession of its kingdom.  I walked on, simple & poor, while the earthy crumbled and broke on generously as bread. R.S. Thomas, The Moor

Prayer for Vocations
Good and gracious God,
you have called us through Baptism
to discipleship with your Son, Jesus Christ,
and have sent us to bring the Good News
of salvation to all peoples.
We pray you to grant us more priests
and religious to build up your Church
here within the Diocese of Clogher.
Inspire our young men and women to
give themselves totally to the work of
Christ and His Church.
Together may we seek the face of Christ
in the poor, the marginalized,
the forgotten, that they may know the
wonders of your love.
We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for the Church in Ireland
God of our ancestors,
Renew us in the faith which is our life and salvation, the hope which promises forgiveness and interior renewal, the charity which purifies and opens our hearts to love you, and in you, each of our brothers and sisters.
Lord Jesus Christ,
May the Church in Ireland renew her age-old commitment to the education of our young people in the way of faith and goodness,
Holiness and generous service to society.
Holy Spirit, comforter, advocate and guide,
Inspire a new springtime of holiness and apostolic zeal for the Church in Ireland.
May our sorrow and our tears, our sincere effort to redress past wrongs, and our firm purpose of amendment bear an abundant harvest of grace for the deepening of the faith in our families, parishes, schools and communities, for the spiritual progress of Irish society, and the growth of charity, justice, joy and peace within the whole human family.
To you, Triune God,
Confident in the loving protection of Mary, Queen of Ireland, our Mother, and of St. Patrick, St. Brigid and all the saints, do we entrust ourselves, our children, and the needs of the Church in Ireland.
Amen.
Benedict XVI 19 March 2010.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit,
fill the hearts of your faithful
And enkindle in them
the fire of your love.

Send forth your Spirit
and they shall be created.
And you shall renew
the face of the earth.

Come, Holy Spirit
Come, Holy Spirit, Creator come
from your bright heav'nly throne:
come take possession of our souls,
and make them all your own.
You who are called the Paraclete,
best gift of God above,
the living spring, the living fire,
sweet unction and true love.
You who are sev'nfold in your grace,
finger of God's right hand:
his promise, teaching little ones
to speak and understand.
O guide our minds with your blest light,
with love our hearts inflame;
and with your strength, which ne'er decays,
confirm our mortal frame.

Prayer For Times of Recession
God, we thank you for the gift of your presence--
Christ who is your Word made flesh;
Christ who is the wisdom of God and the power of God. We need your wisdom especially in these troubled times. In the midst of turmoil and uncertainty, as financial institutions crumble,
and the very economic and social fabric of our lives is shaken, Many of us are gripped by anxieties and fears.  With the clouds of recession over us, and worsening prospects ahead.  But surely, God, we as your children do not look to the horizon, desperately waiting for an economic saviour to emerge. Financial kingdoms, economic empires may come and go, but throughout, God, you remain our stronghold and refuge. Those who know your name will put their trust in you. For you, O God, will not abandon those who seek you. Right now, God, we seek your wisdom to guide us where the way is confusing. We have no better guide than you. We pray for the countless numbers affected by the housing and credit market collapse not only in the Ireland, but with ripple effects felt worldwide. We pray for those who are made homeless, who are retrenched, whose life savings and finances have been wiped out. We pray for those who have come to the end of their rope. God, be merciful to all who have fallen by the wayside. We remember and lift up our friends, loved ones, relatives, Colleagues, business partners, and ourselves. Especially help the weak and vulnerable, the elderly, the pensioners,
the retirees, and the widows--that they will have ready access to social aid and not be encumbered by red tape. Restore hope to those who have lost their livelihood and homes. Grant peace and healing to families and couples whose relationships have been strained. We pray for those who do not know you and have no one to turn to, the many who have been driven to despair and even suicide. Lord, in these troubled times, we pray for strength and resilience. Cause your church, the Body of Christ, to be a beacon of light and hope. Make us ready to stand alongside those who are weighted down by the
pressure of living. Enable us to bring your compassionate presence through the sharing of each other's burdens.
Christ, you are the light which darkness cannot overcome. Indeed, darkness is not dark to you; for the night is as bright as day. Christ, be the light which dispels our darkness and restore order to our inner chaos. Deliver us from the darkness of our self-centered ways; from greed, envy and ignorance; From unrestrained passions; From the darkness of despair, futility and despondency. Christ, the wisdom of God in our moments of anxiety and insecurity, You are the voice of faith who proclaims, "Peace, be still."  In a culture of greed and mistrust, fill us with hope.  Despite the pain of loss and failure, let hope enable us to see God in all situations and events. You are a God who is in control, a God of all possibilities, a God of new beginnings. You are the voice of reason, who summons us back to sanity. You remind us of our kingdom priorities; although we are in the world, we are to transcend the ways of the world. Help us to live wisely, with moderation and prudence, to exercise discernment and sound judgment, and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of our calling.
God, enable us by your wisdom to keep things in perspective. For, God, you are bigger than the problems we face each day. We remember your mercy and faithfulness. Through your counsel and encouragement, You have enabled us to overcome the many setbacks and adversities of life.
We continue now, to trust in your goodness and provision. For you are a God who hears, answers, and acts on our behalf, out of the abundance of your eternal love. We trust you in your grace and mercy to sustain us. Amen.
